Tom Hanks donates his plasma once again for COVID-19 research purpose; shares pictures on social media | English Movie News



Hollywood stalwart Tom Hanks has once again donated his plasma for the research of a vaccine for Coronavirus which has spread across the entire globe. Taking to social media, Hanks expressed that he was feeling ‘plasmatic’ after donating his plasma for another time.

He shared a series of pictures from the plasma donation process wherein we can see his blood being drawn from his body. Hanks captioned the post as “Plasmatic on 3! 1,2,3 PLASMATIC!” Check out the post here:

This is the second time that Hanks has donated his plasma for research just a month after giving it for the first time. Meanwhile, Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, who had tested positive for Covid-19 while in Australia where they were busy with their upcoming film on Elvis Presley have recovered completely and even returned home.


Tom and Rita have returned home by the end of March after recovering from the deadly virus. They were one of the first Hollywood celebrities to come out in open about testing positive. Hanks even opened up about his experience and told all that Rita has a more tough phase as compared to him as she had more fever and symptoms.

The couple has been quite active on social media as well and have been raising awareness about the global pandemic and urging all to take the necessary precautionary measures to protect themselves.
