Janhvi Kapoor says she would love to recreate THESE dance numbers of mom Sridevi | Hindi Movie News

Janhvi Kapoor may only be one film old, but she has her kitty full of big-ticket projects getting ready for their big releases post the lockdown.

From playing the lead in a biopic ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ to bagging a role in the romantic comedy ‘Dostana 2’ and even a spot in Karan Johar’s ensemble cast of ‘Takht’, she has a lot going for her. Besides all this, the actress revealed in a LIVE Instagram chat with Filmfare that she would love to recreate late mom Sridevi’s dance numbers from ‘Chandni’ and ‘Kaate nahi kat te’ from ‘Mr. India’.

The actress spilled the deets when talking candidly about her late mother’s exceptional dance skills. “If given a chance, I would love to recreate the songs from Chandni as well as ‘Kaate nahi kat te’ from Mr. India. It wasn’t a dance number, but she was so expressive with her body, there was no dance movement as such, but she still caught the beat and the rhythm and those latka’s and jhatka’s were all so perfect,” she said in the chat.

She also went on to share some interesting trivia about her mother’s performance in the song ‘Hawa Hawai’. Speaking about the song she revealed, “Apparently, the part where she’s having a ball of a time with the fruits and topi was absolutely done improv.”

Janhvi was recently in the news when a member of her house staff tested positive for COVID-19. In a statement, dad Boney Kapoor assured all fans and friends that the rest of their staff and the family are all well and are not showing any symptoms of the virus.
